There are two stages of membership – Associate and full Membership
Associate Membership
To become an associate member of the AAPDB you must fill out the membership form and pay $100.00 via our secure payment web site ….(?).
On receipt of payment you will be sent a copy of the AAPDB manual which sets out the standards which must be met for full membership.
The manual also contains extensive and valuable information on feeding, housing, breeding and management timetables and preventative health and should have value for even the most experienced breeder.
An associate member will have their contact details listed on our associate members list and will have access to the members forum.
Six months after taking up associate membership the associate will be advised that inspection is due and will be given 3 months to arrange an appropriate time with an inspector nominated by the AAPDB management committee.
If there are any changes to management practices required the breeder will be given 3 months to comply with these changes
After 12 months an associate membership will lapse if the associate does not take the next step to full membership.
Full Membership
Full membership will be available to breeders who have met the requirements set out in the AAPDB manual after inspection by an inspector nominated by the AAPDB management committee.
Full members will have a public listing on the members list with contact details photographs and a link to a private web site if appropriate. They will also have all the benefits of full membership.
Members will register their dogs and the puppies they breed on the AAPDB data base so that they can download pedigree forms and receive their puppy packs for each puppy.
Members will register the owners of each puppy sold on the AAPDB data base so that owners can be emailed and offered the opportunity to join the AAPDB owners forum – at no charge.
Membership fees will depend on the number of breeding bitches owned:
- 1-4 bitches
- 4-12 bitches
- 12 + bitches
