There are three levels of membership: Associate Member, Full Member; and Breeder of Excellence.
All members will eventually progress through to Breeder of Excellence. While new members can enter at any level where they meet the requirements, it is envisaged that most new members will join at Associate Member level and progress from there.
Associate Membership – level 1
Fee $100/year
To become an Associate Member today apply and pay $100 online via Paypal.
On receipt of payment you will be sent a hardcopy of the AAPDB Inc manual in the mail. This is a useful breeder resource, plus it sets out the standards to be met for progression to Full Member.
The manual contains extensive and valuable information on feeding, housing, breeding and management timetables and preventative health and offers value for even the most experienced breeder.
As an Associate Member you can have your contact details listed on the Associate Member breeders' listing (optional). You will also have access to the members-only forum.
You can also display the Associate Member AAPDB Inc logo on your website and stationery letting the public know you are a registered breeder of a nationally recognised industry association.
Within 18 months or less of becoming an Associate Member, you need to progress to becoming a Full Member which makes you eligible for receiving free puppy packs for each puppy registered.
Full Membership – level 2
Fee - $220/year up to 150 puppies** (includes free puppy starter packs)
By 18 months as an Associate Member, it is time to progress to Full Member.
This is achieved by completing and submitting the online Self Audit*.
The online Self Audit is a questionnaire that identifies any gaps between your dog breeding enterprise and the AAPDB Inc Code of Practice. Where gaps exist, you are asked to describe how these gaps will be addressed and how long this will take to achieve.
After your Self Audit is submitted and reviewed you can qualify for Full Member status.
Breeder of Excellence – level 3
Fee - $220/year up to 150 puppies** (includes free puppy starter packs)
This is the ultimate goal of all AAPDB Inc members. It might take a few years to achieve, but when you reach Breeder of Excellence status you are an industry leader; you are the best in your field.
You will enjoy the benefits that flow from such recognition. Further, you credibility as a great breeder is backed by a physical Annual Audit conducted by a specialist auditing company independent of the AAPDB Inc.
You will have qualified for the Breeder of Excellence logo plus all member benefits.
